  None of the permanent exhibition is in English. Only a film about the history of the building and a temporary exhibition is in English. Looked like it could have been an interesting visit otherwise! Nevertheless, the building is impressive and there are some free public toilets, so perhaps worth a brief stop.

  However as a free to enter rich collection that's considered by UN as a wolrd heriatge it's worth a visit

  This baroque building (right next to the cathedral) houses five centuries of trade documents between Spain and its colonies. The building offers an elegant marble staircase and large vaulted archive rooms. The rooms are now used for temporary exhibits. Entrance is free.

  We spent two plus hours here learning about this astounding warehouse of five centuries of trade documents - "the history of the new world". Every document and now being placed on-line.There was also a special exhibit on the Quadalquiver River, which is the reason Sevilla had the monopoly on all goods coming from "the Indies". It is wheelchair accessible. Useful to be able to read Spanish.

  Video was quite interesting, it's a good building but probably best just to go in, watch the video and go out. Video is on the first floor. It's in Spanish with English subtitles
